Doctoral Commission's meetings
The Doctoral Commission (CDD) meets every month during the academic year, with the exception of July and August.
From the start of the 2023/24 academic year, the deadline for submission of PhD student files is the 10th of each month (midnight).
Any PhD student files submitted after this deadline will be added to the agenda for the following month's meeting.
PhD student files must be complete and include all the required appendices.
Incomplete PhD student files will be postponed until the next meeting.
Applications submitted on an "emergency" basis, outside the standard procedure, without a valid reason or justification will be postponed until the next meeting.
An "emergency" request for a PhD student file submitted late must be justified.
It will not be accepted when the situation is the responsibility of the applicant.
Reminder: a signature "for agreement" may be replaced by a copy of the email for agreement (from the supervisor, committee or jury member, etc.).
The copy of the e-mail will be attached to the adhoc form. Please make sure you do not forget it.
PhD student files, complete and accompanied by all the required appendices, must be submitted to the CDD (Doctoral Commission) via the administrative manager:
- Or in electronic format, by e-mail to Ms Martine JANSSENS
All documents may be sent in scanned version only when the PhD student file is complete.
To facilitate her work, please send only one e-mail including all annexes; - Or on paper, by handing them in:
- At the Faculty Reception's Office during opening hours (in an envelope, with your full name and mention "For the attention of the CDD (Doctoral Commission)");
- In the letterbox at the reception desk (in an envelope, with your full name and mention "For the attention of the CDD (Doctoral Commission)");
- In her office, C016 (faculty secretariat corridor).
The PhD student files must be duly completed, signed "for aggreement" by all the persons concerned and submitted to the Doctoral Commission, together with all the required appendices.

The doctoral studies in Psychological and Educational Sciences are governed by two texts/regulations:
- The UCLouvain Doctoral regulations.
A unique set of regulations, common to all CDD (Doctoral Commission) within the university; - Special regulatory provisions applying to the field of Psychological and Educational Sciences.
Specific to each Doctoral Commission within UCLouvain.
These texts constitute the reference texts governing PhDs.
In the event of a dispute, they alone are authoritative.
They can be downloaded from the UCLouvain website: /en/research/valodoc/doctoral-regulations.html
You are strongly advised to read these texts carefully in order to familiarise yourself with them.
Other information and procedures are useful complements but do not replace or modify the regulatory texts.
