The trainings in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences organized by the faculty are based on close collaboration with the research institutes of the Health Sciences Sector of the Université Catholique de Louvain.
All teachers in the faculty thus exercise a mixed activity of teacher and researcher. These research institutes offer a wide range of scientific themes enabling students to carry out internships related to their training. It is in these research laboratories in particular that biomedical sciences students complete their Master's course (12 months and completion of the final dissertation). It is also in these laboratories that future pharmacists are trained when they opt for the 'research' pathway (from the 3rd year of the baccalaureate and then in the final year). The laboratories can also welcome students for one-month internships within the framework of the specialized sector. These laboratories also welcome many assistants attached to the faculty and offer as many opportunities to continue training by a doctoral thesis
