The academic year contains 30 weeks of classes. Rarely does a class meet on Saturday. So at minimum students are on-site for 150 days—that is, those students who live in UCL housing and return to their family or go elsewhere on weekends and holidays (recall the €50/week not including weekends recommendation for food on the ‘Food and living expenses’ page). Students should add to their budget the days they will spend on-site to prepare for and take their exams (20 to 30 days).
This budgeting document is not suited to international or married students, who might calculate expenses differently and have others to include.
