Students admitted to the double degree programme with the University of Oslo must complete their internship during Master鈥檚 Year 1. The internship (150-210 hours full-time) may take place in a company or a research centre in Belgium or abroad.

Work on the dissertation is spread over the two years of the Master鈥檚 programme.
Master鈥檚 Year 1 at UCL

Double degree students must be duly enrolled in the Dissertation seminar [LING2891]. They will write a chapter on the current state of the art with a bibliography (min. 20 entries) by 15 May at the latest.
The instructions relating to the seminar and the document on bibliographical referencing will apply.

The form indicating the student鈥檚 choice of topic and supervisors must be submitted by 15 December at the latest. Students doing a double degree programme will work under the supervision of a UCL supervisor and a co-supervisor at the University of Oslo.
Master鈥檚 Year 2 at the University of Oslo

Students must take at least 10 course credits at the University of Oslo in the field of study of their dissertation.

They must enrol for the course .

The dissertation project includes participation in a colloquium involving all LAMUSO students, where they present and discuss their dissertation topics and preliminary results.
