Studying abroad is one of the most exciting experiences, but it also comes with its听share of unknowns. This is why, at Saint-Louis, we are committed to making this听transition as pleasant as possible through different welcome activities.
At the start of each semester, we organize an integration week as well as intensive French courses. This is an opportunity for students to get to know each other and to听become familiar with the life in the European capital. In the same spirit, students can听also join the ESN鈥檚 Buddy program.

Welcome week
Every semester, Saint-Louis Bruxelles organizes a Welcome Week for students to immerse themselves in the Belgian culture. It is also the opportunity for them to meet other exchange students.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?
The week consists of activities such as a guided tour of Brussels, a waffle workshop, the discovery of another Belgian city and many other visits.
The final program will be communicated via email to registered students in a few weeks prior to the Welcome Week.
WHEN IS IT?
The Welcome Week takes place the week prior to the start of the semester. Please see the for more detailed information.

French week
WHAT IS IT?
At the start of each semester, students may participate to intensive French courses, for a total of 15 hours (1st semester) or 12 hours (2nd semester).
This intensive week is perfect to refresh your French knowledge and get ready for your life in Brussels !
WHEN IS IT?
- 1st semester: two weeks prior to the start of the semester (in the mornings from Monday to Friday)
- 2nd semester: the week prior to the start of the semester (in the mornings from Monday to Thursday)

WHO CAN REGISTER ?
Different groups are created from beginner/intermediate to advanced levels. The level of students is determined by an online placement test.
This course is not open to complete beginners in French, we advise for students to have studied the language for at least one semester previously. Complete beginners are invited to take the French for exchange students course during the semester.
HOW CAN I REGISTER?
Registration is mandatory. The registration form will be sent by email to all nominated students.
Buddy Program
In collaboration with the ESN, Saint-Louis offers a buddy program. The aim is to pair an exchange student with a local student to help ease the experience.
HOW CAN I REGISTER?
Students can indicate if they wish to have a buddy in their application form. All the information will be communicated to nominated students.
