At UCLouvain, some programmes are taught solely in English, or can be taken (almost) entirely in English. Others are bilingual French/English, French/Dutch or trilingual French/English/Dutch. In addition, in the vast majority of the programmes offered (mainly) in French, some courses are taught in English. Many courses are also offered in other languages.

Courses given in languages other than French
In the vast majority of programmes taught (mainly) in French, some courses are taught in English, or are "English Friendly", meaning that the teacher offers additional support to non-French-speaking students, such as extra classes in English or the option of sitting the exam in a language other than French. Many courses are also taught in other languages.

- Non-French-speaking students can benefit from specific preparation in French at UCLouvain.
- It is also possible for students to complete their language training through a degree or non-degree mobility programme.
