Alberto Coddou McManus holds an LLB (University of Chile), LLM (New York University) and PhD in Laws (University College of London). Currently, he is a professor at the Institute of Public Law at Austral University of Chile (Valdivia), where he teaches constitutional law, international human rights law and digital technologies & fundamental rights. Formerly, he worked as a human rights officer of the Petitions Unit at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Recently, he was elected by the Secretary General of the Organization of American States as independent expert of the Working Goup of the San Salvador Protocol, the Inter-American human rights treaty that protects economic, social, cultural and environmental rights. |
