The 60-credit programme consists of lectures and seminars, as well as a final paper.  

Courses and seminars  

    •        The programme begins with an intensive 5-day in-person seminar in Brussels.  
    •        The first term consists of subject-specific courses on the historical, legal and political foundations of European integration.  
    •        The second term begins and ends with an intensive in-person seminar in Brussels (2 x 4 days in February and May).  
    •        The second term is devoted to the analysis of the economic foundations of European integration, group work on an EU policy area of the student's choice, the 'Penser l’Europe' seminar, and the drafting of the final paper (15 credits).  
    •        The seminars in Brussels are compulsory. Students pay for their own transportation and accommodation in Brussels.  

Final paper  

• Students are required to write a final paper in which they discuss topics covered during the master's programme.  

For professional, social, medical or academic reasons, a student may request a reduction in their course load.
