To obtain the average, the mark obtained for each teaching unit is weighted by the credits attached to it.
Assessment methods vary depending on the course units and the learning outcomes targeted: written or oral examinations, written reports (with or without oral presentation), etc.
In addition, the following specific arrangements are made:
- Aptitude test at the beginning of the first four-month period of annual block 1 (more information on the Master [120] in Interpreting page). The purpose of this test is to give students who have chosen the Master's in Interpreting an assessment of their ability to successfully complete their studies. It is a compulsory but indicative test, which does not have the status of an examination, but which can be used to redirect students if necessary.
- For each work placement completed, the assessment is based on the host organisation's report, the supervising teacher's report and the student's report.
- Integrated assessment at the end of the Masters by a professional jury made up of the teaching staff, professional interpreters from outside the course and representatives of the interpreting services of international organisations. The assessment is based on predefined criteria, in line with the learning outcomes reference framework (graduate profile) and the requirements of the professional environment, which guarantees recognition of the diploma by the profession.
