Introduction
Students aim to achieve an expert level of knowledge in their fields. At the end of the course, they will attain a the European “proficient user” level in the two languages they study.
Their training has a practical focus: they take part in language lessons in their target languages, language laboratory exercises, seminars and individual assignments on detailed questions, they write a dissertation in one of the two languages studied and have the opportunity to conduct ERASMUS studies abroad, etc..

Your future job
Students of the modern languages and literatures master find employment easily.
Those who hold the secondary teacher training certificate (AESS) favour working in secondary education (general and technical streams). The private sector (banks and companies) also employs a certain number of language teachers.
Your programme
The master offers:
- in-depth expertise in a Germanic language (English, German, Dutch) and a romance language (French, Spanish, Italian). German-Italian and Dutch-Italian combinations are not organized.;
- further studies in the culture, linguistics and literature of the two languages studied;
- development in high-level know-how relating to criticism, analytics and the preparation of summaries;
- the opportunity for students to specialise in a profession where they can use their skills.
