This option aims to provide tools for understanding environmental issues with a focus on two dimensions. Firstly, it involves developing a critical analysis of discourses and practices that involve paradigms at the root of current problems. This critical analysis will draw on what is traditionally referred to as the humanities (philosophy, arts, literature, history). Secondly, it aims to highlight the power of creation in the study of literary and artistic expressions. These are capable of addressing the representational deficit that affects the perception of the crises we are facing and of opening up alternatives.
